In Odisha, Similipal forest fire brought under control after 2 weeks

What lesion we had learnt from Australian wildfire ? With out preventive measures we will  see such incidents again that is putting wildlife into danger.

The raging blaze that had recently triggered at the world-renowned Similipal Wildlife Sanctuary continued to burn two weeks after it started causing wide scale damage, killing wild animals and lots of trees with medicinal values have got reduced to ashes.

Meanwhile, when Similipal Wildlife Sanctuary was burning, locals came forward to extend a helping hand in dousing the flame alone with fire and forest personnel.

Every year fire season begin in the month of February and continues till April, since this year winter has ceased early and the temperature is 7 degree above normal in Mayurbahnj district and Baripada is the hottest town of Country, due to high temperature the fire has started in Similipal Wildlife Sanctuary.“

At last the forest and fire personnel have successfully managed to control most parts of the fire in Odisha’s Similipal forest division after putting in much effort.
